Hi, my name is Ava Taboada and I play lacrosse at Ridgewood High School and club lacrosse for Metro. I began playing lacrosse in 3rd grade. I am a confident stand-out on-ball defender. My strengths on the field are my speed, my low defensive stance, my explosive footwork, and my ability to read the offense, anticipate the slide and lock it down. I'm an aggressive, strong physical player, and an effective communicator. I play with intensity and I always give 100% effort. I love the game because it's competitive, fast-paced, and exciting. Off the field, I help coach and ref my town's third and seventh-grade travel teams. When I'm not playing lacrosse I'm hanging out with my friends, family, and studying hard. In addition, I'm a classically trained violinist with 11 years of training.
