I am a junior at North Catholic HS and captain of both my varsity lacrosse team and my varsity cross-country team. I am a 2 year letter winner in varsity cross country, a 2 year letter winner in varsity swimming and a 3 year letter winner in varsity lacrosse. I also have completed 2 sprint triathlons. I love to compete and athletics have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a freshman, I was a starter and lead my lacrosse team in goals and was named athlete of the week in the local paper. As a sophomore I was nominated for All Section despite an injury. I play attack/mid and I score about a third of our team's goals and I also contribute via assists, ground balls and interceptions off the clears because of my speed, quickness, strength and competitiveness. I score equally with both my right and left hand. My graduation year is 2020, but I'm young for my grade and I won't turn 17 until August, 2019. In just the last year my speed and strength have dramatically increased and I'm working to carry that momentum into this summer's tournament season. Academically, I have an unweighted GPA of a 3.2- 3.3. My school works on a 7 point scale (93-100=A, 85-92=B etc.). I am very involved in my community and will be presented the Joan of Arc Medallion in the Fall of my senior year for exceptional community service. I will have completed over 200 hours of volunteer community service during my high school years. The majority of my service has been completed at my church teaching Faith Formation to 2nd graders. I also help teach lacrosse clinics for our local youth programs which is fun and very rewarding. I plan to pursue a nursing career after college.
