Avery Anderson
Recruit Profile
Process-driven, disciplined and aggressive athlete who loves to compete. Supportive team player with strong Lax IQ and a will to win. Proactive, positive, fast and ready to work.
I'm an athletically + academically driven sophomore who fell in love with lacrosse in middle school. I play with LaxManiax 2023 Black and focus on continuously progressing and growing my strengths and abilities on and off the field. This season I played Midfield for Oviedo Highschool's Varsity team. Through-out the season, I led in goals for my team with 39 goals, 9 of which were from the semi-final game. My favorite stat however was getting 105 draw controls within the season, I surpassed my goal of 100! My natural strength, footwork and competitive nature gives me an edge in defense and I am often recognized for it, but I also enjoy using my creativity and relentless efforts on both sides of the field.
I currently train twice-a-week at Biofit with my personal trainer, Kevin Masson. We focus on strength, conditioning, speed, agility, recovery, and nutrition. I also have completed a 100 hour internship and have 100 hours of community service. As my schedule permits, I also train with Olympic sprinter, Ernest Wiggins to help develop my speed and running form.
As a Junior, I am enrolled in all honors courses with 3 AP's and maintain a 4.065 GPA. I am currently studying for my SATs with tutors.

In a game, Avery is a player that demands the attention of the opposing team's as well her own team's players and coaches. Her athleticism allows her to always find herself in the play and making things happen. In practice, she is a model of good attitude, work ethic, and hustle for younger and older teammates to measure themselves with. Her character and confidence would stand out among any group of young women. Off the field, Avery is a joy to be around. Her smile and easy going demeanor go along with a drive and passion for this game and its details that inspire me to step up my own skill as a coach within her program.

Avery is a Great athlete. I have trained a lot of Pro athletes (NFL, MLB, MLS) and D1 college athletes, and i can tell she has great potential in joining the elite. She is a natural and a quick learner. Avery is stronger than most boys her age and perfect technique on her lifts. She is the dream athlete for any D1 strength coach and I am sure she transfer her skills well on the lacrosse field.

Avery is as versatile a player as they come. She successfully takes on anything I ask. Deadly inside the 8m with either hand, she is one of those rare players who finds the way to free her hands and get off a shot. Avery wins a high percentage of her draws, regardless if she is pushing or pulling. On the defensive end, Avery's quick feet and anticipation give her a great head start off the dodge, and she makes a fantastic backer in zone defense. Most importantly, she is a student of the game and is always looking to improve. Easily coached, she asks the good questions, dissects her own video, and even as a young player, makes great suggestions in the huddle.

Avery isn't just a great lacrosse player but is an overall great athlete. She's always eggar to practice and learn new skills. Her upbeat attitude is something I can always look forward to at practice. Avery is the kind of player any coach would love to have on their team.
