I grew up participating in gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading and playing various sports including flag football and soccer. I began playing lacrosse in 8th grade and immediately fell in love with the sport. I was voted defensive player that year and my coach said she wasn't sure if there had been a defender like myself to ever go though our program before. The instant love I had for the game and the bond created by my team, led me to try out for club the summer before going into my freshman year. I was fortunate enough to make the Lucky Lax team. This year, the Lucky Lax 2021 team was named the best club team for our class in all of Ohio. For high school lacrosse I was a swinger my freshman year and played in over half of the varsity games, and was again named defensive player of the year. As a sophomore, I started on varsity as a defender, and became a starting draw girl. Being 5'11" helped me excel at the position. I would have started again this year, but our season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Because I started as a defender, I think of defense as my main position, but I can play anywhere on the field. I planned on playing some attack on my high school team this spring to become a strong triple threat. Being able to see the field and openings so well, I have become the one to call most of the plays. I'm dedicated to both my high school team and my club team. Additionally, I love working with and helping out the younger players to insure a hardworking team for the future seasons. These qualities have helped me become captain of the varsity team at school. I work equally as hard on the field as I do in school. Currently, I am a member of the National Honors Society and have a 4.72 gpa on a 4.0 scale. I'm 28/475 in my class and have made Summa Cum Laude honors every year that I have been in high school. I'm a very driven and competitive individual who wants to do my best academically and athletically.This year I took 4 college classes and completed the year with A's in all of the courses. I intend to major in either forensic science or marine biology and minoring in photography.
