My name is Baker Reding and I am a strong two-way midfielder in the 2021 class. I live in Saint Paul, MN but previously lived in South Carolina. I started playing lacrosse in SC when I was in 4th grade and I have never lost love for the game. I moved to Minnesota going into 8th grade and quickly adapted to the new environment. When spring came around I tried out for the high school varsity team and made it along with one other 8th grader. The strongest component to my game is my ability to make plays on offense, but also be able to get back on defense and hold my ground. Overall, I had an exceptional freshman year; I finished the lacrosse season with 13 goals and 11 assists, also finishing the school year with a 3.95 GPA. I recently finished my sophomore year with a 4.13 GPA while taking AP World History, Honors Chemistry, Honors Algebra II along with other rigorous courses. In addition to lacrosse, I play football and basketball. I am a two-year football captain, and recently helped lead the team to an undefeated season. During the 2019 high school season the Cadets made history being the first team to make it to the state tournament. Sadly, we finished in fourth place but we are hoping to be back in the tournament next spring. I finished the season with 74 points: 47 goals and 27 assists. My work did not go unnoticed, earning All-Conference, All-Section, All-State and being voted junior captain by my peers. Now finishing my junior year with a 4.42 GPA for the 4th quarter taking AP Biology, AP United States History, Honors Pre-Calculus, and other honors courses.
