Baxter Rowland
Recruit Profile
Love to compete, seek out challenges, two way midfielder, flexible, versatile, always striving to improve, stubborn (in a good way).
I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade. I've played every position at some point. During 7th and 8th grade, I found a love for attack but as I played midfield from time to time it seemed to fit my play style more. I was the second highest scorer on my fall club team this year - just behind a senior. I can shoot on the run with both my left and right. I can find the backside shooting lanes. I am also a varsity captain for my high school team. I am a strong student. Right now, I'm really enjoying AP psych and AP physics. I'm also taking AP US history, although it is way less exciting. Ive learned the most from my Advanced Marketing II class that I took this past year. It introduced me to a lot of the nuances of business that I never noticed. I founded and am the president of the Mount Si High School Spikeball Club. It's one of the most exciting things Ive done in high school. After holding meetings once a week for 3 weeks we became the largest student run club in my school. We were unable to hold our first charity tournament this spring because of COVID-19, but we are still planning a summer charity tournament, as well as fall and a spring tournaments later in the year. I am also a member of the National Honors Society. I have done over 180 volunteer hours in the past two years. Part of those volunteer hours is coaching at the Legit Lacrosse camp that my high school coach puts on during the summer.
