I was born in New York City and lived in Manhattan until I was 5 years old. My father is an Orthopedic Surgeon and his training brought us to Boston, where we lived for a year before moving to Dallas, TX. I began playing lacrosse under Coach Chris Surran when I was in first grade and have been playing and enjoying it ever since. Growing up I also played numerous other sports including football, ice hockey, basketball, baseball, track (200M & 400M) and soccer to name a few. My brother (Ty) is 11 months younger than me. Ty and I were always out in the backyard playing some kind of sport. Having a brother, so close in age, to share these experiences with has been amazing.
My speed, competitive spirit and athleticism have served me well growing up playing sports. I found that my instincts as a free safety, decision making as a quarterback/point guard, and eye hand coordination from batting in baseball and tipping pucks in hockey all complemented my game of lacrosse. In the 7th grade I picked up a long-pole for the first time and never looked back. My speed, along with the skills that I've learned in these other sports, provide me a unique advantage and style as an LSM. Within a year of picking up a pole I was selected as a 1st Team All-Tournament Defender at the Millon Championships in Maryland. I played freshman football at Dallas Jesuit but then decided to focus on my favorite sport of lacrosse. This past season I was the starting LSM for Coach Surran as we won the Texas AA State Championship. Winning the State Championship against our rival Highland Park was a highlight of my sports career.
Like my mother and father, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field. I particularly like the idea of becoming a sports medicine physician and taking care of athletes. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, golfing, fishing, cooking, and watching/playing sports. Every summer I return to Breezy Point, NY for the month of July to spend time with friends and family and hang out on the beach.
