Blake Carawan
Recruit Profile
Highly coachable athlete that plays physical and will beat opponent through a combination of scrappiness and smarts.
I finished my sophomore high school campaign with a state championship as a middie after traditionally being placed at left attack. My speed, ground ball ability, passing, and ability to finish was needed for my team to get us to and through the championship. I played in all 20 games as a key player at both middie and attack in our journey to the state championship. My ability to anticipate the defense and keep possession allowed me to be moved between X, left, and middie to provide optimal scoring opportunities. Prior to my sophomore field season, I finished my tenth season of box lacrosse playing for both Resolute and my high school team. With Resolute, my team won the Champions Cup and a bronze medal at the USBOXLA games at the Vegas Box Invitational. Unfortunately, I broke my collarbone during the summer of 2021 at the One Percent Showcase where I was a standout after only two games and missed the latter half of my summer and fall seasons. I have been named to the All-Ohio Resolute Black field and box team since moving to Ohio eight years ago and prior to that was on MadLax's top team in the DC area winning the CASE award and being a starter for the team. In total, I have 11 years of field and 10 years of box lacrosse experience having been on USBOXLA's Team USA playing in Canada and in California for USBOXLA Nationals multiple times.
