Profile
Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Maine Maritime Academy. 2022 North Atlantic Conference Champions.

Farmington native Brandon Melville joined the Maine Maritime Athletics staff in August of 2019 and has led the Mariners to a 5-2 record in two shortened seasons due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In 2021, Melville led the Mariners to a 2-1 record in the team's shortened season due to the pandemic and shortened academic calendar.

In his first season with the Mariners, Melville led the team to a 3-1 record in 2020, the best start in program history since 2009, before the season was halted due to the start of the pandemic. Despite the shortened 2020 season, Melville's Mariners were recognized in the NAC and nationally for their contributions on the field and in the classroom, as senior defender Nathan Granholm earned NAC Man of the Year honors and was named a USILA Scholar All-American.

In addition to coaching the men's lacrosse team, Melville assists in the Athletic Communications Office.

Melville was the head coach at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon in 2018-2019. Working with only 17 athletes on his roster, he led the Hornets to a 3-3 season in North Atlantic Conference play, including a 13-7 win in over Maine Maritime in Castine. He mentored Brandon Hunter, one of two NAC athletes selected for the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East-West All-Star Game. His roster also produced the NAC Men's Lacrosse Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year and a second team All-NAC selection.
