I only started playing Lacrosse 2 years ago. My dad has been a lacrosse coach for many years but I always played soccer. Once I made the decision to switch to Lacrosse I fell in love with the sport right away. I watched a lot of the games my dad coached and I understood the game but I wanted to be on the field. I used and still continue to use my bounce back everyday. I made my select team my first year but wanted more playing time so I worked hard during the HS season to get better and this year I started and was selected as a captain, made the VA Roughriders and was selected to play in the IMLCA showcase. I also have been able to play for my dad this season and not against him.

Academically I have already completed 3 AP courses and will attend Bishop Sullivan in the Fall which is a very difficult academic school. I have learned to balance academics, lacrosse and also time to just be a kid.

I love coaching and volunteering at our local youth lacrosse league. I have a 7 year old brother who loves lacrosse and I help him and his team with my dad.

My dad is retiring from the military this year after 20 years of service. I am also going to be playing for him at Bishop. Being a military family has not always been easy but we are a close family who has relied on each other and faith.

Overall, I am just happy I have the ability to play this amazing game surrounded by my family. Not all of my friends dads came back alive and not all kids are healthy enough to even have the opportunity to play. I do not take any of that for granted.
