Brett Johnson

2019 | IL: Crystal Lake

Recruit Profile
Great dodger, quick learner, good work ethic, intelligent, aggressive, desire to learn and improve, Coachable

I started playing lacrosse in 8th grade, giving up football the next year to focus on learning the game and improving my skills, playing both box and indoor year round. I currently play Middie for my club team, but have transitioned to Attack for HS. I am usually able to read the field and defense very well and love dodging; I consider these two of my best assets. I was the team Captain and MVP for my JV team last year as the leading scorer and 2nd in assists. This year I helped take my HS team to a 20-1 record and a 2nd place Conference finish. My SAT score is 1340, but I'm retaking it to try for a higher score. I took AP Calculus this year and am taking AP Stats and Honors Human Anatomy next year. I help set up and tear down volleyball courts throughout the year as my community service and am constantly helping my parents with my two younger sisters. I also love video games, hammocking and boating.

Jim Blaz. July 15, 2018 Brett is a hard-worker and plays best when challenged by good competition. Good speed and very agile with a variety of dodges to gain space on an opponent. Good shot on the run and an above average physical defender.

Brett is a good two-way middie, predominantly righty with a solid left. He’s a very intelligent, quick defender and extremely versatile. We use him at offensive mid, defensive mid and on MDD. Great kid, very coachable, and a dedicated lacrosse player.
