I started playing lacrosse at 7 years old. I have always felt at home and comfortable playing defense. I currently play club lacrosse with the Long Island Jesters and I am starting varsity lacrosse defender for Bethpage High School.
The Long Island Jesters 2023 Black Team coaches have implemented a strong and structured team defense. The team runs a pressure defense or a backer defense. I play the backer position on defense and I am strongly relied on to get the other defenders set in the right positions. I am constantly in motion while playing the backer position and my team depends on me to create turnovers and fast break opportunities.
I was selected to the 2020 Under Armour Long Island Command Team. I was starting defender for the Under Armour team. The Under Armour team did implement a pressure / backer defense. I was the backer defender for the Under Armour team.
As an eighth, ninth and tenth grade student I was a starting defender on my high school varsity lacrosse team, as well as a midfielder who was used consistently in the draw circle. As a starter on defense I was among the team leaders in recovered ground balls.
I played JV soccer and JV basketball freshman year of high school. Half way through my JV basketball season my freshman year of high school I was moved up to the varsity basketball team.
As a sophomore in high school I played varsity lacrosse, varsity basketball and varsity soccer.
My GPA is a 4.0 with an overall average of 94. I am currently in advanced placement and honor roll classes.
I volunteer my time in the summer at the Bethpage Nursery School. I also volunteer with the Bethpage Police Activity League with girls lacrosse clinic for kindergarten and first grades. I am member of the Bethpage High School athletes helping athletes program. This program is designed for varsity athletes to mentor the younger athletes in the school district.
