He comes to the Hilltop with a wealth of lacrosse experience, most recently serving as the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Hollis-Brookline High School in Hollis, N.H. where he supervised all facets of the program. He guided the team to a 12-4 record after opening the year with 11 consecutive victories.

A 2018 graduate of Mount Ida College, Hayward was a four-year member of the Mustangs' men's lacrosse program. The team's all-time leader in career saves (758) and victories (35), he served as a team captain as a senior and was a two-time All-Conference selection from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

Hayward has also worked as an Assistant Coach at Mount Ida and Regis (Mass.) during his career.
