Carlie Koch
Recruit Profile
Coachable, high lax IQ, started on varsity as a freshman, multi sport athlete, puts team first, naturally athletic 5'8 player that loves to compete.
I started playing lacrosse at the age of 5. Competition motivates me to do whatever I can to help my team win and for us to be able to grow together as a team. I was the only freshman to make and start on my school's HS varsity lacrosse team.
Based on recomendations from my coaches, I was selected amonst a group of students to partictipate in SALT (Student Athletic Leadership Team). SALT is a group of high school athletes that have been recognized as leaders.
I am fortunate enough to live in one of the hotbeds for lacrosse in the country and play for my club's A team. My primary position is attack, but throughout my career I have been asked, and played, every position on the field. I also have made the commitment to work with an outside trainer during off season to improve on my skills.
I am naturally right handed but often play on the left wing if needed because of my strong left hand. I have good field vision and lacrosse IQ, and I use it to put myself in the best place on the field to help my team.
Although lacrosse is my primary sport, I have also played soccer, field hockey, and I was the only freshman to make my varsity HS volleyball team. I love to do anything active. For example, I love to ski, snowboard, ice skate, ride motocross, and play tennis.
I come from an active lacrosse family. My dad was his college team's captain and an All-American.
I am in my 5th year of taking French and had 2 years of Spanish. I am a member of the One Love Club and Blue Club.
