Caroline Messer

2022 | CT: Old Greenwich Ct

Recruit Profile
Dynamic player with speed. I create opportunities for myself and my teammates and am always a threat. Multi-sport varsity athlete. Team player.

I grew up in Greenwich, CT playing soccer, basketball, lacrosse and tennis. I also love to ski. I am currently a student at The Taft School in Watertown, CT where I made both varsity soccer and lacrosse as a freshman. I also play thirds ice hockey which is so much fun. I have always been one of the fastest players on the field. My speed along with my hand eye coordination and toughness make me a threat on the field whether driving to goal, getting loose balls or creating turnovers. I am also often used for transition. I am confident in my ability to create opportunities for myself and my teammates!

Taft is an academically challenging school that has prepared me to succeed in college. Most importantly, it has taught me the time management skills needed to study as well as participate in extracurricular activities. I finished my first semester junior year with a 95% average. I am taking AP US History, AP Environmental Science, Accelerated Spanish 3, Pre-Calculus and 11th Grade English.

Most of my work and volunteer experience has involved working with kids as a camp counselor, coach, tutor and babysitter. At Taft, I was selected by my teachers to lead an I-Block program to underclassmen. I-block is designed to encourage responsible decision making and reinforce appreciation for care of oneself and others.

Caroline is the epitome of a high level two-way middle. She excels on both ends of the field and has game-changing speed. Caroline has the ability to consistently get to the cage off a dodge, but also the IQ and vision to set her teammates up for success as well
