I started playing lacrosse when I was around 7. I began with the rec. league in my area. I soon moved up to a travel team. I was so young that I wanted to pursue other things such as Irish Dance and Soccer. I grew up playing all three. When I was 11 I went to Ireland for the Irish Dance world competition and placed 48th. I then left that experience behind to begin getting more serious about lacrosse and soccer. I joined a local soccer club and quickly became a leader and a hardworking member of my team. 7th grade was when I truly got a sense for the competition in the lacrosse world. When I was invited to join the True Illinois State team, I was not fully prepared for the switch in the intensity and the level of skill that I would be training with and competing against. On my True team, I became an attacker. I pride myself on my man-on-man defense and my ride. I continued to play both lacrosse and soccer. When I became a freshman, I decided to play high school lacrosse. There was where I found my passion for working for myself and my teammates. I became a midfielder, and a starting attacker and defender. I became the fastest on my team and one of the top scorers. However, I don’t just do sports. I finished the year with a 3.7 GPA. Since 2020-2021 was a year where little to no school actually took place, there was little opportunity for me to join school clubs, which was very difficult for me because that was one of the things that I looked forward to the most. I am taking Honor US history next year and helped support my school’s canned food drive.
