2020 | MI: Brighton

Recruit Profile
I have the drive and discipline to be pushed to that next level. I am a multi-sport athlete; I challenge myself.

Prior to joining a lacrosse team, I played a forward position in soccer, for the Michigan Hawks. I began playing soccer at the age of two and I was extremely dedicated to the sport for eleven years. In 2014 my family and I moved to Brighton, Michigan. It was in the spring of 2015 that I told my parents I wanted to play lacrosse. I joined Brighton Lacrosse and they started me off on defense. My coaches were astonished at my skill level having never played before. Because of my speed and endurance I was quickly moved to midfield where I have played and excelled ever since. I am a natural athlete; a multi-sport athlete who has played basketball, softball, dance and diving, as well. Aside from playing lacrosse, I am also on the Varsity Powerlifting team at my school and recently placed first at a regional meet, which qualified me for the state finals.

Recently, Dan Reason WHAC Conference, Supervisor of Officials, Women's Lacrosse 2017, wrote a letter of recommendation about me. He said, "My experience of 30 years National Federation and 8 years at NCAA level, Catherine would be an excellent candidate for any college or University in the country. Catherine is eager to learn and humble to listen and take constructive criticism, but what is most valuable to any head coach, is that she learns from her mistakes very quickly. To me, a true leader is one in the same. Leadership is what I look for as an supervisor of officials, and that is what you get from Catherine. I believe that Division 2 is where she is now, as a freshman in High School; I suspect the next 3 years, she will develop into a D1 player."

Currently, I attend Brighton High School and excel at my studies. For the spring 2017 season, I was the only Freshman selected to play on the varsity team and was given a starting attack position. I am, also, on the Varsity Power Lifting Team and I am a manager for the Wrestling Team.

In my free time, I practice lacrosse in my backyard, enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I am truly looking forward to what the future holds for me!
