I am a junior at New Canaan High School and I have been playing lacrosse since 5th grade. In addition to lacrosse, I also play field hockey and basketball. This season, my lacrosse team won the Connecticut Class L State Championship. Playing 3 varsity sports has taught me leadership and time management, which are 2 very important skills. Playing basketball and field hockey has helped me tremendously on my footwork and defense in lacrosse. While I love playing sports, school is very important to me. In the classroom, I work hard each and every day to keep my grades up, and be sure that I am the best student athlete I can be. In addition to sports, I love to volunteer at my church, especially at a halfway house in the Bronx, participate in a non-profit organization empowering middle school girls called LiveGirl, and go to events benefitting special needs kids. I also coach youth lacrosse and field hockey.
