I am writing this letter on behalf of Christina DiGuglielmo. Christina is a student athlete I’ve had the privilege to have known and coached the past four years. She is a four year varsity lacrosse player as well as a a three year starter. I first met her when she was in the eighth grade and her physical education teacher recommended that I take a look at her to try out for my varsity lacrosse team. It was obvious from when I first saw her play she would be a perfect fit on the varsity lacrosse team, and that even though she was only in eighth grade that when she got older she would become one of the elite players in my program. Over the last four years I have seen Christina grow so much. Not only as a integral part of my offense on the field, but her personality has also grown tremendously over that time. She began with me as a very shy 8th grader and this past season she became one of my vocal leaders on and off the field. She never misses a day of practice, and never doesn’t give each practice and game 100 percent effort. She’s one of the hardest workers I’ve had the opportunity to coach during my time as varsity coach and she has gotten better and better over the years. She has amazing stick skills and excellent vision. She is my leading assister as she sees the field so well when she has the ball. She’s my secret weapon on attack as she’s a lefty, a feeder, and has such a strong shot! She would be an amazing addition to any team that is lucky to have her – both on and off the field. She also spearheaded a fundraiser all on her own for a dear teacher this year who is battling cancer. She truly is one of a kind and a coaches dream!
