I started recreational lacrosse when I was 6 years old, and when I started there wasn't really a team so I had to play up with the 5th and 6th graders. When I was going into being a freshman we all would hear that it was unheard of to make varsity as a freshman, so I took that as a challenge, and sure did hard work pay off when my name was called saying I made varsity. I wasn't starting right away but I was always ready to go in where ever coach put me. By the end of the season I had become on the the starting low D players and would often get moved up to play D wing on the circle. I also play field hockey and alpine ski race. Field hockey has helped me become a better athlete in my sense of quick thinking skills and visual on the field. These skills are very important when it come to lacrosse too. I am often known as a leader when it comes to school and sports, during sports I will take a skill that I have learned and teach it to people on the team so they can better there skills too. During school I often am there to help people with a problem or something they're working on and need help with. One of my favorite things to do is running, and i've been called crazy by friends and teammates for it. Whenever our coach would tell us to run the 3 or for 4 miles during preseason I would be the person jumping for joy when everyone else was just wanting to get the pain over with.
