Colin Callahan
Recruit Profile
Very shifty attackman that can dodge from anywhere and likes to set the tone of the offence from behind cage.
I started playing lacrosse when I was in 4th grade since all my friends were playing and I wanted to try. My first ever game I scored a goal from half field and that's really where my love for the game took off. In 6th grade I joined my first club team after a team called "House of Sports" invited me to play. That team went 0-16 that year and I wasn't even a starter. This really motivated me to get better. I then tried out and made the A-team for 91 Tristate where I established myself as a starter on the team and one of the teams primary scorers. After a pretty solid year with 91 Tristate I wanted to take my game to the next level and get a chance to play with the top players in the country. This is when I tried out for Predators. I remember the night I got the phone call that I made the A-team. I had so many thoughts going through my mind. I was stoked I made it but I was also nervous to play against competition I've never really been exposed to. That first practice out there with Predators really gave me a knock on the head. It was clear that all these players were better than me. When we went to tournaments I barely, sometimes never played in the games. That summer going into Freshman year of high school I knew I needed to get a lot better if I was going to make a top team again. This lead me to making, and playing for Express North. I had a heck of a tryout turning the heads of every coach who was there. When fall practices came along I felt much more confident in my game as a whole due to how much lacrosse I've been playing in that August offseason. The first tournament came around and for the first time ever I started on a top team. I felt so good about this and saw it as a huge milestone. Fast forward to today, I'm one of the main scorers on Express and I am always willing to take on the other teams best defender.
