Colleen Flood
Recruit Profile
Coachable, Natural Leader, Team Player, Versatile, Fearless and Disciplined. Excellent academic student and community contributor with high Lax IQ. Habitually assigned to cover the opposing teams best attacker.
I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 years old. I am a Under Armor 150 selectee for summer 2021, and I am awaiting results of the Under Armor All-American tryouts for the South Division. I was a varsity letter winner and starter as a freshman on our high school team, which advanced to regional finals in my first post-season tournament run. I am an excellent defender; on my club team and my high school team I am habitually assigned to cover the opposing team's best attacker. I have the speed, strength and power to match up with any attacker. I leverage my high lacrosse I.Q. to get open on clears and I have the ability to clear the ball with my speed and the power / accuracy to make a successful pass downfield. I am not just a defender; I am capable of playing middie and I am an alternate to take the draw on both my club team and my high school team. My unweighted GPA from my freshmen year is 4.0 and I am on the Principal's Honor Roll. I took Algebra II Honors, Biology Honors, and AP Human Geography. For my Sophomore year, I am currently scheduled to take Pre-Calculus Honors and Chemistry Honors.

Colleen is fast, tough, strong lacrosse player, and always working hard to improve her stick skills and defensive abilities. She worked her way into a starting position on defense on my both my club team and high school team, which is quite an achievement for any freshman player coming into a top-ranked high school program. The intangible skills that she brings to the field are leadership and versatility. Colleen sets an example for all players to follow, by pushing herself beyond her limits during conditioning and taking the lead during drills when needed. Throughout the this past season, I challenged Colleen by moving her to middie for a few games, having her take draws and seeing what she could do on the offensive side of the field. She embraced the challenge exceeded expectations. Colleen has a bright future and she has only scratched the surface of her potential.
