Former SU standout Connor Bishop '17 returns to campus this fall to round out Tim Marshall's men's lacrosse staff.

Bishop, who starred for four years for the Hornets, joined Marshall's staff in August, 2021 after serving as an assistant coach at both Swarthmore and Adrian colleges.

Bishop, originally from Langhorne, Pennsylvania, served on the Swarthmore staff from June, 2017 though July 2019 and again from July 2020 through August, 2021.

From July, 2019 through July 2020, Bishop spent a year at Adrian (Mich.) College.

With the Garnet, Bishop headed up a man-up unit thar finished in the top three of the Centennial Conference in both 2018 and 2019 with the '19 squad finishing 19th in the nation.

At Adrian, Bishop helped the Bulldogs to increase their goals per game by 40 percent and led the squad to four wins in the pandemic-shortened five-game season.

Bishop also has experience with the NXT Lacrosse Club.

"I am very excited to return home to Shenandoah," said Bishop. "This program is special to me and to be able to come back in a coaching role is truly special. I am very appreciative of the opportunity and cannot wait to help take this program to the next level under Coach Marshall's mentorship."

Bishop will be involved in all aspects of the program including practice and game management, player development, recruiting, and academic monitoring.
