In 2010 and 2011, Deke was voted US Lacrosse Man of the Year in acknowledgment of his efforts to grow the game of lacrosse in the State of Maine.

In 2006 Deke took over a growing Maine Elite Lacrosse League (now the Men's Elite League). The following summer Maine Elite added Men's and Women's pick-up lacrosse. In 2008 Maine Elite began offering year-round youth lacrosse for grades K-8. In 2011, Maine Elite expanded to offer Boys and Girls High School programs and opened it's own indoor sports facility in Portland, Maine, The Riverside Athletic Center. The company also changed its name to 207Lacrosse. In 2010 and 2011, Deke was voted US Lacrosse Man of the Year in acknowledgment of his efforts to grow the game of lacrosse in the State of Maine. In 2012 Deke led the Cheverus High School team to the Class A State Championship game and was voted Conference Coach of the Year by his peers. In the summer of 2012 207Lacrosse launched it 1st Boys Travel Team. By Summer 2014 the travel program had grown to 6-Teams.
