I started playing lacrosse in grade one and have played ever since. I also played hockey and was a goalie. I played travel hockey for the Atlanta Phoenix from Novice through Bantam Major when time commitments for two travel sports became too much. It was at that time that I committed to playing lacrosse.

In field lacrosse I am a strong defensive player, routinely forcing turnovers and getting ground balls for the transition game. Through the years I have played attack and middie but settled into defense on the club team level occasionally playing LSM. I think that a strength that I have is that I can see the field well and often intercept or knock down passes. I like playing when everyone on the team is playing well and I try to encourage my teammates when I am with them. I feel very comfortable with the ball in my stick and have good speed when needed.

I started playing box lacrosse when I was 10 and have had a lot of experience with it. I have made the USBoxla National team for the past 5 years as a defensive transition player. I have also played for CaliLax All-Stars since Peewee and have had the opportunity to play for four summers in BC and Alberta against their top box teams. I have also had the opportunity to play box for Team Quebec playing against Ontario teams as well as attend the Canadian Bantam Nationals in Saskatoon. I have won the Team MVP recognition at the Canada Day tournament 2 times along with multiple Player of the Game recognitions over the years.

I think that my box experience and being a hockey goalie provide me with a defensive awareness that benefits my play. This past year I was honored with being named a team captain at The Hill Academy.
