EJ Reichert
Recruit Profile
Excellent lax IQ and commitment to academics. Play with head up, and know when to drive/score and when to set up teammates. Strong on ball. Always moving.
My love of lax started the first time I strapped on gear at age 9. I played youth recreational lacrosse in third and fourth grade, then moved to travel and more competitive lacrosse. I played multiple sports through school, rec leagues and travel leagues through 8th grade (football, gymnastics, swimming, basketball soccer), and each sport brought something to my lacrosse game--on-ball strength, balance, agility, speed. My first step is blazing, allowing me to beat almost any defender one-on-one. I have run past several bigger defenders committed to top D1 programs. I started every JV (our school also had a freshman team, but I made JV) game as a freshman and won the offensive MVP for the year. I joined the varsity team for the state tournament as a freshman, and celebrated a State Championship. Nominated by coaches, I served as the lacrosse representative on the Student Athletic Counsel. I started every varsity game sophomore year, scoring 5 goals in the quarter finals and two goals in the semi-finals. Our team fell in the state finals. Junior year preseason was excellent, as I played well in scrimmages against top teams from Ohio. Unfortunately, the rest of junior year was cancelled.
Away from lax, I love cars and work part time at an auto dealership. Balancing school, lax and work has helped me develop my work ethic and time management skills.
I also volunteer at my church on the production team.
