I have played lacrosse since 5th grade. I will graduate in 2023. I play attack and midfield. I pride myself on being dominant with both my right and left hands. I am an aggressive and tenacious player who is always willing to do what is best for the team. My coaches know that I can be counted on in high-pressure situations. I have consistently been a leading scorer on all of my club teams. My coaches have praised me for my good defensive zone play when playing midfield, along with my aggressive rides when playing attack.
I scored 44 goals for my high school team in spring 2021. I led the team with 25 assists. I had 50 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers. I was Max Preps Player of the Game seven times and on the Tampa Lax Report Player of the Week list three times during the 2021 high school season. I was in the top ten for girl's assists for Hillsborough County in 2021. I earned co-Offensive MVP for Sickles High School in spring 2021. In 2018, I earned a spot on the All-American Lacrosse National Classic Florida Team and played in Delaware with girls from all over the US.
I have a 5.88 weighted GPA and I am currently ranked 10th out of 580 juniors in my class. I am a member of the National Honor Society, BETA Club, and Mu Alpha Theta. I co-founded 'Sickles Lax Giving Back' in which both our high school boy's and girl's players complete community service throughout the Tampa Bay area. I coached youth lacrosse during the spring 2021 rec season and am a youth lacrosse referee. I am a member of the Chamber Orchestra, the highest-level orchestra in my school. I play the violin.

Mark Hangen
Elena is a very skilled player that can dominate the game with either hand. She can play attack or midfield at a high level and is a pure goal scorer. She is also a very creative play-maker. She is aggressive on the draw circle and when going after ground balls and she can play at a high level at both ends of the field. Her stellar defensive skills are worth noting too. She always works hard and sets a good example for her teammates. She has a team first attitude and is very coach-able. She will be a great addition to any college team.
Dario Rodriguez
Elena is a very unselfish player who always puts her team's needs in front of her own. She is a very skilled player who can run midfield or attack and who can play & score with both hands. She plays tenacious defense when playing in the defensive zone and when she is riding while on attack. It has been a pleasure to coach her for several years, because she is such a coach-able player. Don't let her size fool you. She is a very scrappy & aggressive all around player who can dominate a game. She plays exceptionally well with her twin sister Rebekah whom I have also coached for years. Elena and her sister Rebekah will make 2 great additions to any college team.
