Elise Murphy
Recruit Profile
Hardworking smart player, highly athletic, strong and fast, positive attitude
I started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade, and I was inspired by the success of the Brighton Girls Varsity Team. I have wanted to play lacrosse in college since I started the sport, and over the years I have played constant wall ball, watched collegiate players and played with those older than me to work towards my goals. I played club lacrosse with Relentless Hustle, my local town club from 4th-9th grade, and during the summer of 2020, I made a seamless jump to Monster and made the purple team. At the tournament I was able to attend this fall (corona prevented me from attending those out of state) I started on attack and made a strong impact. I also have been strength training with @shanbreezy_ at Pursuit Performance for the past 2 years, and I go 3-4 times a week with some of my teammates. It has made me faster, stronger, and helped me to improve my footwork and dodging skills.
I am one of the most positive players, and I pride myself on always cheering on my teammates and hyping everyone up. I am a hardworker and a strong leader. I also made Brighton Varsity as a freshmen this past season, and I was chosen to start on lower left attack. This was on one my biggest goals, and the seasons cancellation broke my heart but also really motivated me to work harder in my off-time.
I am a strong student, and I am currently doubling up in science, with AP Physics and Chemistry. I am also in Spanish 3 Honors and Algebra 2 Honors, and freshman year I took honors science, math, and language as well. I am a volenteer math and english tutor through Rochester Peer Tutuoring and I am a member of Best Buddies and Natural Helpers at Brighton Highschool.
