Eliza Shamah
Recruit Profile
Hardworking, friendly and approachable teammate, attentive listener and quick implementer, determined and passionate athlete.
I began playing playing lacrosse for my town program when I was in fourth grade and then began with my current club team, Storm Lacrosse, the following year. In my Freshmen year of High School, I played on the JV team and often played up for the Varsity team. During my Sophomore year, I made the Varsity team and was named a defensive Dual County League All-Star by my coach and the rest of the coaches from the league. Additionally, during my sophomore year, I was nominated by my coach to try out for a Massachusetts/Rhode Island team competing in the US Women's Lacrosse National Tournament. I made one of the four teams representing the region and went on to win the Oneida Division championship. Outside of sports, I have a passion for helping others. In school, I mentor in a special education English class where I give individual guidance and assistance to students. I also partake in a buddies program at my school in which I am paired with a special needs student who I spend time with monthly for the duration of the school year. I am a hardworking student and take honors Spanish and Political Science as an elective. In addition to playing lacrosse, I have played for the high school Varsity Ice Hockey team since I was in eighth grade.
