I started playing lacrosse in 7th grade, as soon as I learned the basics and what I felt like when my team scored a goal...I fell in love with the sport. My goal was to improve so I could make my high school team as a freshman even though I was told freshmen don't make varsity. I played wall ball, catch with my sister and brothers and joined the Triumph travel team to improve. I was really excited when coach made me a starter on varsity for my freshman season. Playing hockey my whole life has helped me understand how to angle and defend in lacrosse, how to pass to a spot where only my teammate can catch it and that different things on different days are needed for our team to be successful. Some games I may need to set-up certain players early to get them involved, other games I need to pass to the hot player or a teammate who has a match-up advantage on their defender while other games my team may need me to score more. I was proud this year that our Mercy lacrosse team had its best record in school history and I helped our younger players become a big part of our success just as the seniors helped me when I was a freshman. Outside of school and sports, I love music, road trips with my family, laughing with my friends and scary movies.
