For as long as I can remember, the field has always been more to me than just some lines and markings on a turf. It's home. Lacrosse is more to me than simply cradling my stick down the field and getting to goal, it’s my way of life. Sports and athletics have built me into the individual I am today on and off the field. There is no doubt in my mind that sports have played a primary part in my life. Through everything, from successes to the tough times of loss and grievance, lacrosse helped me conquer it all. This is more than just a sport to me. My burning passion revolving around sports presented itself most when I made the ultimate decision to go out for the Greenwich High School freshman football team. If I had to say what describes who I am, not only as an athlete but a person, and what separates me from other recruits going out for the collegiate level is my drive, dedication, and discipline. My work ethic showed up most when I followed through and kept my word on being the only girl that played and competed in a full football season (9-0) yes, on the boy's team. A dream only becomes a reality when you take the first step, that was the first step on my journey as a highly inspired and driven athlete. Although football is a different sport than lacrosse, going out there every day and fulfilling that goal is one of my highest achievements and most rewarding experiences. This does not only prove the love and passion I have for sports, but the mental and physical toughness I hold which could make an exorbitant impact on the college team I play for. When I am out on that field nothing else matters more than putting my absolute all. It is truly one of the most humbling experiences to play a sport and get the chance to prove yourself through performance while doing something you love. This is why I put my whole heart, life, and passion on the line for lacrosse because lacrosse has done the same for me. This is just the beginning; I want to go further, and I will go further while solely determined on making my mark, an impact, and inspiration to the game of college lacrosse.
