Ellie Sitar
Recruit Profile
Athletic, aggressive, multi-sport athlete. Speed and agility, combined with strong lax IQ, coachability and eagerness to continue to learn and grow. Very interested in collegiate lax.
I started playing lacrosse in kindergarten and played with the same local recreational league through 8th grade, when I was chosen for the NJ Shore Conference All-Star team. I have also played club lacrosse for many years, all but 2 of which have been with Jersey Shore Select (or its predecessor T3 Shore). My speed and agility enable me to play comfortably as a midfielder or defender, however in recent years I have concentrated on developing my defensive skills. I am very proud of my abilities in one-on-one defense and enjoy executing defensive plays inside and outside the 8 with my teammates. Armed with my years of experience on the field and a rigorous off season workout schedule I feel very prepared to compete for a position on our high school varsity team and look forward to the high level of competition our coaches have scheduled for us for our summer travel season. I am a multi-sport athlete and the goalie for our varsity field hockey team. I am taking Honors English & History, and the rest of my courses are Advanced, including Spanish II which is a high level course for a freshman. I am a member of several public service oriented clubs including Key Club where I have been able to make use of video and social media skills to support a local church in streaming its services to reach more members of our community and the Environmental Club where we help national and regional non-profits in beach cleanups - something that is important to me because I am an avid surfer. I also participate in our school's annual all-night fundraiser to support a local family dealing with cancer diagnosis.
