Emelie Curtis
Recruit Profile
Patient player with strong lax IQ, contributes positively both on and off the field, extremely coachable, encouraging leader, reliable, consistent, hard working, appropriately confident, selfless, motivating and a great teammate.
I started playing lacrosse in a recreational league (Lower Bucks Lacrosse) when I was six year old and played until eighth grade. I was a freshman varsity starter for my high school team and worked hard that year to become the third leading scorer as well as first leading in assists. My sophomore year I became the second leading scorer and was again the leader in assists. I am most comfortable behind the cage and have a good eye for feeds and being patient as the play develops. This year I am a junior captain and am excited to better develop my confidence to use my left hand in pressure situations, while also leading my teammates to work hard and reach their highest potential. Overall I want to take all facets of my game to the next level, as there is always room to grow. I am running a clinic for young girls who want to learn the game of lacrosse. This will take place over a series of weeks this fall/winter. I want to use this leadership opportunity to make a positive impact on the next generation of lacrosse girls using what I have learned from the club, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). I am challenging myself academically by taking multiple honors classes and am working hard to keep good grades while coaching and having a job outside of school.
