Emily Keppler
Recruit Profile
Good sport and coachable, have a high Lax IQ, play two sports, and work hard to better myself and become a better athlete.
I started both of my sports, lacrosse and field hockey in 2nd grade. I didn't start seriously playing lacrosse until 6th grade when I got accepted onto my club team, LBC. From there I put in extra work, went to lessons outside of practice and spent time on my bounce back. I pride myself on my knockdowns and turnovers as well as my strong communication on defense. I feel comfortable using both hands.
I was defense on my Junior Varsity lacrosse team my freshman year of HS as team captain. During my season I was asked to play up with Varsity, which we ended up winning the 2A MD state championship. I took AP US History my freshman year along with 3 honors classes. This year I'm taking AP government and have maintained my GPA of 4.25. I play club indoor and outdoor field hockey as well.

A solid anchor on defense, Emily’s vocal leadership is an asset during play. Additionally, she is able to give her teammates valuable feedback, breaking down game play by the opponent. She works hard on and off ball, anticipating plays and communicating movements with her teammates. Emily is smart, understands varying defensive concepts and is quick to interrupt offensive play with her stick and good body position. Her stick skills prove valuable in traffic, while gaining possession from created turnovers, and during transitional clears. Emily is very coachable and continually works hard to improve.
