Although my high school does not offer lacrosse as a varsity sport, I currently play for a club lacrosse team as a defensive specialist. I am comfortable playing both man and zone defense, and feel man to man coverage and crease coverage is my strength. Another strength is my strong communication skills on the field with my goalie and fellow defenders/midfielders as well as forcing turnovers. When I have the opportunity I can cover the field quickly by running the ball up or looking for the long pass. I am a varsity swimmer since my freshman year and also play on the Varsity field hockey team. I volunteer coach for a youth lacrosse team in the spring. I have quickly learned that I have a passion not only for playing lacrosse, but coaching the younger girls. It is my hope to continue coaching lacrosse throughout my high school and college years, as well as after I graduate. I am taking AP history and AP psychology this year. My main interests include TV/Video production and education. I recently passed my CPR and lifeguarding certification.
