Emily Rush
Recruit Profile
My speed, grit, and diversity on the field. I am also the biggest cheerleader of my teammates and keep the spirit high and attitude positive.
I ran track as a sprinter and jumper until 6th grade when I switched to lacrosse. I have played for my town programs, middle school and high school teams, and for T3 Central Club. I made the JV high school team as a freshman and had the second best YBMI fitness results out of 60+ girls trying out. While still developing my stick skills, it is my speed, agility, drive and determination that helps me carry the ball from one end of the field to the other and still be able to play at a high level immediately after a run. I have a strong shot, but am still working to improve accuracy and my left side. I have been a gymnast and competitive cheerleader my whole life and also have been trained in singing, dance, and have multiple years as a stage performer. My career path includes working with children either as a teacher or in a guidance roll. I work in the summers as a private coach/trainer for younger gymnasts/cheerleaders/athletes conditioning them in the off-season. I volunteer every summer and fall as a Junior Coach for our local competitive cheer program. I am a good student, but I have to work hard to earn good grades. It is more important for me to develop myself as a well-rounded person than excel in just one area. I think by having a diverse background, I am a better teammate and can relate to all different types of people, players, and coaches.
