A former four-year player at Division II Southern New Hampshire University, Eric Johnson joins the staff of head coach Marc Graham.

A native of West Suffield and a 2016 graduate of SNHU, Johnson comes to Eastern after serving as assistant lacrosse coach for three years on the high school level at Loomis Chaffee School and Suffield Academy. At Suffield, he helped the team to the 2018 Western New England Division II championship – its first in 16 years.

A midfielder at SNHU, Johnson works with the Eastern offense and goalies.

As a senior captain at SNHU in 2016, Johnson was named second-team Division II All-NEISL and as one of two SNHU players named to the NEILA East-West Senior All-Star Game. That year, he helped the Penmen to their only winning season in the program’s 45-year history (10-6), as well as the program’s longest winning streak (eight matches) and first NE-10 tournament win, as well an overtime road win over No. 19-ranked Pace University, where he contributed three assists and three ground balls.

A member of the NE-10 Commissioner’s Spring Honor Role for academics in 2016, Johnson holds a B.S. in Sport Management.

At Suffield High School, Johnson played four years of lacrosse and soccer. As a senior, he earned All-State recognition as a lacrosse captain and finished his career with 260 points on 80 goals and 180 assists, and helped the soccer team to the state title.
