My name is Forrest Smyth and I have been playing lacrosse since fifth grade with some of the best players out there today. I have strong academics and powerful leadership in the student body and on the field. I became a starter for my varsity lacrosse team as a sophomore and continue to lead the defense and my team to victory. I am an aggressive player on the field yet I respect everyone at all times which is why I was awarded the 2018 Forman School Sportsmanship Award. I feel very confident with my defensive skills and so do my teammates and coaches. In addition to lacrosse I play varsity soccer as a defensive player at right back. My academic career is also very strong with a 3.9 GPA and next year I am looking forward to taking honors Pre-calculus and honors English. I played on a club team named Shark River Lacrosse where I learned the game and became the player that I am today. With the skills that I learned I made it to varsity last year and now have a prominent role on the team this year. In other extra-curriculars, I am an Eagle Scout and am still in the scouting program today. I have volunteered countless hours of community service while in the scouting program and plan to continue to do so.
