I had a great summer of lacrosse in 2018! I played again in both the Under Armour All America Underclass Tournament (Midwest Highlight) and the National Lacrosse Classic (Team Illinois). I also attended UA150 and was selected for the All Star Team at the Cascade NPE 80, playing in Capital Cup and was selected as an All Star at the Jacksonville University summer camp. I was on the east coast pretty much for the month of July. Lacrosse is my passion. I started playing lacrosse at 11. I've been playing Club for Minnesota Elite since I was 12. For High School, I made varsity as an 8th grader at starting Midfielder taking the draw. My freshman season I led my varsity team in draw controls and received All-Conference honors. The 2018 varsity season was great! I led the state of MN in caused turnovers in regular season (32), playing defensive mid-fielder as a starter. I also led my team in draw control win percentage. I am a natural leader on the field on both sides of the game. I've always had a passion for defense and my specialty is caused turnovers. I'm a play maker on offense, love giving assists and can also finish with both hands. I'm a multi-sport athlete (swimming, volleyball, and gymnastics) and have six varsity letters as of the end of my sophomore year. I am the varsity captain for my gymnastics team for 2018-2019. I've received many awards as a scholar/athlete, including Academic Gold and Spotlight on Scholarship both multiple times. My classes at Orono High School this year are demanding (AP Calculus, AP World History, Honors Chemistry, American Literature, Honors Chinese IV, and Forensics). I plan to finish high school with four years of accelerated/AP math, and five years of Chinese (Mandarin). I'm in the Unified Club advocating for my schoolmates who are uniquely abled. I've been a youth lacrosse coach for six seasons (five as head coach) for our local 10U, 12U, and 14U girls. I love coaching the young players- it is so fun to see them develop their skills and teamwork! I string sticks at our local lacrosse shop. My dream occupation is to be a surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. I love traveling, cooking, and spending time with my friends.
