Grace Heffernan
Recruit Profile
As an attacker, I have very strong stick skills and great lacrosse IQ. I am determined and resilient, coachable and an unselfish teammate equally assisting as I am scoring goals.
I began playing lacrosse when I was 6 years old. Both of my parents played D1 lacrosse in college and my grandfather was an All-American at USNA. Lacrosse is in my blood! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my spring and summer lacrosse season was disrupted. I focused on strength and agility training and did a number of virtual clinics online. I also play Varsity B field hockey. I love to sing, hang with friends and be a big sister to my 4 younger siblings. I also play tennis, surf and ski. I have 24 first cousins. Family is everything. I enjoy reading and writing. English is my favorite subject. I have a learning disability that makes me exempt from taking a foreign language but I am working with my teachers to get my school to approve an ASL course (American Sign Language) so I can hopefully bring awareness to recognizing ASL as a Foreign Language credit. Lastly, I was born with a rare metabolic disease called PKU. I have a deficient enzyme in my liver that cant break down protein. Only 1 in 15,000 babies are born with this and I am the only one in my large extended family who has it. Im most proud that my family and I held a fundraiser in 2019 that raised over $120,000 for PKU research to hopefully find a cure!

Grace's athletic versatility and ability to attack and create opportunities in endless ways make her a threat at all times. She's a quarterback offensively- drawing slides, working high IQ 2-man, or creating offball opportunities for teammates. Grace enjoys the process, and she's the kind of player coaches love to coach.
