Lacrosse is a relatively new sport in Evansville. I was first introduced to the game during my eighth grade year and loved it right away. As an eighth grader, I was invited to play for Memorial's JV team. The next year, as a freshman, I earned my varsity letter. That was quite an honor and I wanted to keep improving my game! After another season of improving my play, I was selected by my coach to participate in the Rising Stars game. This past season, our team chose Isaiah 60:1 as inspiration to shine on and off the field. At our banquet, it was such a blessing to be voted by my teammates as the MVP. I feel comfortable handling my stick and am working to better my non-dominate hand. Academics are important to me. I have taken AP English and AP Biology and I am currently enrolled in AP Calculus and AP Literature. I will be taking my fourth year of Spanish. I earned my academic honors letter my freshman year and have kept this standard. I am a member of National Honor Society and received the yearbook award. I am a youth staff member for Youth Resource's Teenpower conference; this group is dedicated to building leadership skills, substance and alcohol abuse prevention, and positive life choices in our community. Teenpower has been important to me since sixth grade and it's helped me develop as a young leader. I also am president of my school's Snowflake club and a committee chair for our Dance Marathon and Student Council along with being involved in several other school clubs. In college, I plan to study Elementary Education and hope to get involved in several student groups. I think being on a college lacrosse team would be a great experience! I would love to have the chance to play and be part of a team of girls with shared goals and values.
