I started playing lacrosse when I moved to Oregon in 9th grade. Prior to moving, I had played hockey in Alaska since I was two years old and was ranked 6th in the state, so the switch to lacrosse came naturally to me. I made the varsity team in 10th grade as well as a competitive club team, and was an All-Conference Honorable Mention. Although I am left-handed, I am comfortable dodging, passing, or shooting with either hand. I am also comfortable playing defense: being dodged on, sliding, communicating, and everything else that comes with it. I ride hard and clear the ball efficiently.
I take pride in my academics, which is reflected in my 4.0 GPA and numerous IB classes. I also value the extracurricular opportunities I have. I am a senior class officer, a section leader in my school's choir program, an officer in our future health professionals club, an officer in our anti-drug and alcohol use program, and a member of the National Honor Society.
I plan on majoring in Chemistry and attending medical school after graduating college with the goal of pursuing a career in neurosurgery.
