Hannah Corkery ’11 was named the head women’s lacrosse coach in July of 2017 and enters her third season with the Saints in 2020.

She returned to St. Lawrence after a successful four-year head coaching stint at Castleton University. Prior to coaching, she was the assistant director of admissions at Castleton.

In 2019, the Saints earned IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll honors, while Isabel Silvia earned All-Liberty League Honorable Mention and four Saints earned a spot on the league's All-Academic team.

In 2018, Corkery coached seven Liberty League All-Academic honorees, four All-Liberty League award winners and the Saints were names to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad, with two individual honor roll members.

Corkery won her third straight North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coach of the Year award in 2016 after leading her team to a perfect record in the NAC. The Spartans went 12-6 overall and posted a 17-7 win over Colby-Sawyer in the NAC Championship game, earning their third straight trip to the NCAA tournament. The Spartans won the NAC Conference title, advanced to the NCAA tournament and earned the NAC Team Sportsmanship Award in each of Corkery's four seasons at the helm. She also worked with multiple organizations, serving as an IWLCA and NAC representative, while working with the NCAA Regional Ranking Committee.

In addition to her duties at Castleton, Corkery coached high school players for the Catamount Lacrosse Club and the Spartan Elite Dual Camp. She was also highly involved in the community as an Alumni Association and Women's History Month speaker. She hosted free clinics for high school and middle school students in Rutland, Vermont, and has worked with the One Love Foundation since 2014.

Corkery graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in performance and communication arts from St. Lawrence with minors in educational studies and sports studies & exercise sciences. She earned a Masters of Arts in education at Castleton in the spring of 2013 while serving as the graduate assistant women's lacrosse coach.

As a student-athlete at St. Lawrence, she was a captain and four-year letter winner for the lacrosse team and also played on the women's squash team for one season. She was named the women's lacrosse team's Student-Athlete of the Year during her junior year.
