Aug. 2020 - Puget Sound Director of Athletics Amy Hackett has named Holly Drown head coach for the Logger lacrosse program.

"Holly brings a strong background in coaching at various levels as well as work as an athletic administrator," said Hackett. "She greatly appreciates creating an environment which promotes a strong experience for student-athletes, and providing strong mentorship for students to be successful in their pursuits."

Drown brings with her a wide range of experience that reaches across all three NCAA levels. As head coach of Division-III member Bridgewater State (Mass.), Drown led the Bears to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) title and a NCAA Division-III Championship berth in 2014.

Drown was also at the helm the Division-II Saint Anselm College (N.H.) program for three seasons. During her tenure, she was named the Northeast-10 Coach of the Year, and the Hawks reached the program's first-ever national ranking in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll (No. 15).

Drown was a Division-I student-athlete at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. A four-year letter winner for the Minutewomen, Drown was a team captain in her senior season as she helped UMass to clinch the Atlantic-10 crown in 2009. Drown was named to the Atlantic-10 All-Conference Second Team that same season.

"I am thrilled to join the University of Puget Sound as the next women's lacrosse head coach," said Drown. "I look forward to sharing my passion for the game and building on the traditions of academic and athletic success that have already been established. I'd like to thank Athletic Director Amy Hackett for giving me the opportunity to lead this program into the future."

In addition to her experience at the collegiate level, Drown is well known in club circles. She was the Assistant Director for Laxachusetts Club Lacrosse in Boston, and is currently the Director of Girls Lacrosse at CitySideLax in Seattle. Drown also served as the assistant athletic director at Annie Wright Schools of Tacoma.

Drown received her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership at the University of Washington.
