Hugh is a cerebral defenseman with great instincts and understanding of team defense. In the defensive end, he has great positioning/stance on ball and uses his stick to put the ball on the ground. Hugh is tough on contested ground balls and makes great decisions with the ball in his stick. He is extremely coachable, puts the team first, and has great potential at the next level.
