Recruit Profile
Coachable, determined team player, always pushing to be better, multi-sport athlete and great student

I have been involved in many sports since I was young. When I was 6 I set a goal to obtain my black belt in Tae Kwan Do by the time I was 10. I practiced several days a week for the next few years, and I did receive my black belt 3 months before my 10th birthday. I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade on a local rec team. At the end of that season, one of my coaches asked me to join his summer travel team as a defender and face-off middie. At the beginning of our next fall season, the coach asked me if I would be interested in trying the goalie position. He said I had the temperament and fearlessness for it. I gave it a try and have never looked back. Since then, I have played for several club teams, including my current team the Annapolis Hawks. I was voted MVP for WPS middle school lacrosse by my teammates in both 7th and 8th grade. I will be playing goalie for the WPS Varsity boys lacrosse team in spring 2018 as a freshman. I am also involved in several other sports. When I was in 6th grade I spent a season with Ski and Snowboard Club Vail as a competitive snowboarder in the USASA Rocky Mountain Series. After that season, I really had to make a choice between focusing on competitive snowboarding full time or having the ability to spend time playing other sports. I decided I would miss other sports too much so now I snowboard recreationally whenever I can. In middle school, and now as a freshman on JV, I also play soccer and basketball for WPS. Outside of sports I focus on being an excellent student by challenging myself with honors and advance placement classes, as well as participating in other school clubs such as math counts and robotics club. In the summer when lacrosse season ends, I like to spend time with friends surfing and wakeboarding.

While this is only my first year coaching Hunter, I can tell he is going to be a good one! He has great footwork & instincts, to go along with great outlet passes. I feel very fortunate that I get to coach him for the next 4 years!

I have had the pleasure of coaching Hunter for 2.5 years as of now. He is a constant competitor and strives to get better each time on the field. He led our team to a league championship in 2017. He is only getting better!
