Isabella Hawkins
Recruit Profile
I am a dedicated, hard working student and multi-sport athlete and strive for nothing but the best in both. Strong stick skills, ambidextrous, team player and coachable.
I started playing lacrosse in kindergarten in an after school program designed to teach lacrosse in a fun environment and foster a love of the game. I began playing for Falmouth Flash, our town lacrosse team, beginning in Grade 2 and doing summer tournaments with another travel team, The Crusaders continuing this throughout elementary, middle school and through the 8th grade. I am a very competitive person on and off the field and was not interested in playing soccer or basketball and decided to make lacrosse my primary sport throughout the year. I attended many clinics in 2018 to prepare for my first tryout in a club setting and made a summer tournament league with the Summer Aces out of Plymouth in 2019. After the summer season was finished I attended Boston girls Laxachusetts tryouts and was selected as part of their 2024 roster. I played with Laxachusetts for two years before moving on to Gold Star in Medway. I made the Falmouth High Varsity lacrosse team during my Freshman year, which was amazing as I started every game and played throughout. Unfortunately, our season was very abridged due to COVID and I look forward to a full season this Spring. My love of lacrosse hasn't waned since I was 5, it, in fact, has gotten stronger because I know I have more to learn and perfect and I strive to be better with each practice or game.
Every spring, I attended Field Hockey clinics to prepare for Junior High and High School Field Hockey. I played for two years in Junior High School and upon entering high school, I played for the JV field hockey team in my Freshman year. During my sophomore year, our JV team was so small that we did not have any subs. The 8-10 of us played all games for the entirety of the game with no break. We had a full season with many successful games, 13-2-3 and our skills rose dramatically. A couple of us were called up to Varsity to finish out the successful season they were having. Our Varsity team placed #2 in division 2 girls field hockey and it was an honor to be noticed for my hard work and constant improvement and to be worthy to play among strong and talented players. Inevitably, we lost in the quarter finals in double OT.
