As a military kid I moved often and attended 6 schools by 8th grade. Lacrosse has been the best way to meet people no matter where I live. I moved to Pittsburgh in 5th grade and am a stand out player in our area. Wanting more of a challenge I tried out for the Dukes in Philadelphia in the summer before my freshman year. Not only did I make the team as an but was voted captain in my first season. I pride myself on being a positive leader on any team both on and off the field. While I am confident in my ability to dodge and shoot, I have a great vision to find the open man and get him the ball. I prefer for the team to win over a selfish goal for me. I have been a starting middie for the varsity team both Freshman and Sophomore year. Both seasons I was in the top 3 for total points of goals + assists for my team. I will play any position the coach and the team needs. While I became a strong attackman with the Dukes and in middle school, I was also gaining speed which helped me to play middie when the high school team needed me there.

I have become a known leader on campus at my high school, Shady Side Academy. I lead the student section at all sporting events and have organized bus loads of students to attend play off games for various teams. This year, the varsity basketball team recognized me at their banquet as an integral part of their winning season. During the school year I live on campus in the dorms during the week with students from all over the world. This has been a great opportunity to learn responsibility for myself and to gain tremendous independence.
