I started playing lacrosse at 7. On the two clubs I played for, I gradually earned more minutes on the field because my best qualities aren't flashy, and it took some time for my coaches to realize my strengths. My ability to win ground balls and my physical stamina and toughness are the intangible qualities that appeal to my coaches' decisions to keep me in the game longer. I take care of the ball and am capable of moving the ball down the field in transitions when under high pressure. I am comfortable dodging and finishing with both hands and pride myself on playing hard until the whistle blows. I'm a 3-year starter for my high school team and earned the "Rookie of the Year" award at the end of my freshman year. Before my first high school season, I was awarded the "Bob Rhein Award", an award my local club gives for honoring the game with the program's "ROOTS". I started both ways on my Varsity football team as a junior and earned All Division 1st team WR honors, All County Honorable Mention WR as well as my team's Special Teams MVP. I'm also a member on the HS Varsity basketball team. I have maintained distinguished honor roll since starting high school. I attend church on a weekly basis, have participated in mission trips to War, West Virginia, and this past summer I volunteered a week to "Servants, Inc." where I helped to update and make home repairs in the local area.
