Janet Pearce
Recruit Profile
Coachable, unselfish, FAST. Tenacious on D and GBs, head up, see field, finish strong. Multi sport athlete (FH).
I have had a lacrosse stick in my hand since I was five years old, and this year has taught me not only to love my sport but also to cherish my time playing it. I have represented the Building Blocks Lacrosse 2022 Black team since the first year I was eligible to play. During my freshman year at Oak Knoll, I was a starter on the Junior Varsity team who contributed speed and tenacious defense while also using both hands and supporting my team in and on the draw circle. Unfortunately, my sophomore season didn't happen due to COVID-19. A dual-sport athlete, I am a member of Oak Knoll's varsity field hockey team where we are defending a 2019 NJ TOC victory and the #1 H.S. national ranking. I was awarded the 'most improved player' award for JV field hockey as a sophomore. I pride myself on my coach-ability, hustle, and self-motivated nature.
My cumulative GPA is a 4.31. I won Oak Knoll's History Award (freshman year) and English Award (sophomore year). As a junior, I am taking AP Calculus BC, AP Language and Composition, AP United States History, Honors Latin IV, and Honors Biology.
I am not only a student-athlete but also an artist. I earned the Creative Arts Outstanding Achievement award during my sophomore year and am the president of Oak Knoll's Calligraphy Club, Scribes. I have completed professional jobs (place cards for bridal showers and birthday parties) and participated with philanthropic organizations, such as The Valerie Fund.
